Work in Progress

The Veloscenic route may change or some sections can be under construction. Find every detail and useful information in this section to be well-prepared for your ride!

Île-de-France section

The Veloscenic route is entirely signposted from Paris to the Mont Saint-Michel. However, in the Île-de-France region, one section (from Massy to Rambouillet) is not signposted yet. See map below, in red is the temporary route with no signs:

Veloscenic_Ile-de-France section map

AttentionSections with no signs:

  • North part, via Versailles : this part is not signposted except 5 km from Massy to Jouy-en-Josas. The signs will be set up in 2018.
  • South part, via Limours : 52 km from Massy to Rambouillet (point where both routes meet) are temporary and without signs.

Our advice : pending the markings of the route on the south part of the Veloscenic, seasoned cyclists may ride this sections thanks to GPS tracks and roadbooks.

Download the roadbook from Massy to Rambouillet via Limours :

Paris > Massy stage

From 14 May 2018, until the end of July, the main alley of the Promenade des Vallons de la Bièvre will be closed for repairs over 650m, between Clos Saint Marcel street in Sceaux and Jean-Noël Pelnard street in Fontenay-aux-Roses.

On Clos Saint Marcel portion, the secondary path remains accessible.

On Jean-Noël Pelnard portion, the diversion is done by the road.

Chartres > Illiers-Combray stage

The Épernon, Maintenon and Barjouville crossings are disrupted because of the work of networks burying. You will have to follow the deviations set up.

From January to June 2018, work on the greenway at the hamlet of Montmureau (south of Barjouville). Veloscenic cycle route will be diverted the time of work by the cycle route of Saint-Jacques (orange route).

Rémalard > Mortagne-au-Perche stage

The green way has been seriously damaged on few metres (near to Saint-Langis-lès-Mortagne) due to pouring rain. No solution has been found yet.

Our advice : stop cycling and continue by foot on those few metres.
