St-Hilaire-du-Harcouët / Ducey Veloscenic : Paris to Mont-Saint-Michel cycle route

🚲 Stage description and details:

This stage is entirely along a greenway, offering a mix of shaded stretches and short stretches in full sunlight, plus it’s dotted with old train stations and level-crossing guards’ houses. It makes for easy cycling. 

⭐ Don’t miss:

• Saint-Hilaire-du-Harcouët: for its cathedral-sized church and Le Prieuré lakes.
• The charming village of Ducey is an historic port where boats pushed along by the tide once moored. As symbols of its strategic and mercantile past, the little town has preserved its imposing Château des Montgommery and its old bridge, both dating back to the 17th century.

🍴 Food and drink en route:

• Saint-Hilaire-du-Harcouët: with many shops and a market on Wednesday mornings on Place Delaporte and Place de l'Hôtel de ville.
• Isigny-le-Buat, Montgothier, Les Chéris: these communes (or parishes) along the greenway have small shops.
• Ducey: shops and market on Tuesday mornings along the Grande rue.
