In the heart of a 5 hectares park, the Moulin de Villeneuve (the Mill of Villeneuve), built in the 12th century, was often the setting and the inspiration of the couple Louis Aragon and Elsa Triolet’s writing. A remnant of the milling activity, objects of the couple and works of artists and friends coexist to create a welcoming and unique atmosphere. This is where some of the most beautiful pages of French literature were written. This house of authors shelters the flat/museum and the grave of both writers, as well as a library of 30 000 books. This house also became over the years a lively place opened to contemporary artistic creation: exhibitions (painting, sculpture, photography…), meetings, musical shows…
