Hiring a bike
The guarantee of a well-equipped bike in a good state of repair!
Choose the bike to suit you from one of the many bike-hire companies available, be it a hybrid bike (VTC in French), gravel bike or electric bike (VAE in French). Some providers offer one-way rental ("aller-simple" in French), allowing you to hire your bike in one location but return it to another. Count €20 per day on average, or €100 per week for a hybrid bike (prices vary depending on standard of bike).

These bike-hire companies offer bicycles suitable for long-distance touring, as well as additional equipment, such as panniers or child-bike trailers, plus a one-way hire service, so you can hire a bike in one place and return it to another, enabling you to hire a bike from your starting point along the Veloscenic and leave it at your end point.

Further bike-hire companies along the route
Some 15 bike-hire companies dotted along the route allow you to hire bikes by the day or for several days. This is practical for a bicycle outing or a circuit lasting two to three days. However, these further providers don’t deliver bikes to you or collect them from other stages.
