The Paris-Pontorson train makes cycling the Velosénie easier than ever. Operating daily round-trips on weekends, this seasonal service is extended to include weekdays from March 30 to October 11, 2026. Choose between a quick weekend getaway or a leisurely multi-day journey—hop on and off at 11 strategic stations along the route.

Please note: the train line offers free bike storage on reservation. When booking on sncf-connect.com, remember to mention that you are traveling with an unfolded bike.

🔁 One round-trip per day at approximately the following times (may vary depending on the day of the week): departure from Paris Montparnasse station at 7:30 AM (8:50 AM on Saturdays and Sundays) / return from Pontorson station at 6:00 PM.
🕔 Approximately 4 hours for the entire Pontorson - Paris journey.
🚉 12 intermediate stations served: Avranches, Folligny, Villedieu-les-Poêles, Vire*, Flers*, Briouze*, Argentan, Surdon, L'Aigle, Verneuil-sur-Avre, Dreux*, Versailles.
* These stations aren't located on the route but are connected to La Véloscénie by cycling links (see details below).
🚲 Free bike boarding on reservation for unfolded bikes (12 spaces available per journey - free reservation on Sncf-connect).
⚠️ Booking bug on the seasonal Paris ↔ Pontorson line
A bug currently prevents booking a ticket between the departure station (Paris or Pontorson) and one of this seasonal line's 12 intermediate stations: the train shows as fully booked no matter which date you choose.
Until this is fixed, book your ticket all the way to the terminus (Paris or Pontorson), even if you're getting off earlier.
Example: for a Pontorson to Versailles journey, search for Pontorson to Paris instead. The journey then shows as available, with the option for a fully assembled bike. Book that ticket and get off at Versailles, your actual station.
