Continuing to ride along the greenway from CondĂ©-sur-Huisne to Alençon, you leave behind the Perche, but enter the Parc Naturel RĂ©gional Normandie-Maine. The Lac du MĂȘle-sur-Sarthe offers a very refreshing halt, much appreciated by children.

Leaving Mortagne-au-Perche, you join the greenway that you’ll follow for the whole length of this stage. Along the first few kilometres, you have to deal with a deceptively flat-looking slope, but then things ease. 

A very short link enables you to reach Le MĂȘle-sur-Sarthe’s village centre, its shops and its lake.

⭐ Don’t miss:

  • Mortagne-au-Perche, a fine little town designated a Petite CitĂ© de CaractĂšreÂź thanks to its remarkable historical, cultural and natural heritage. 
  • The Base de Loisirs du MĂȘle-sur-Sarthe: its 16-hectare lake with outdoor leisure centre has made this village a respected Station Verte, offering green holidays in a country setting. Cycling tourists can make the most of a dedicated area that provides cycling facilities.
