Stage description
You leave Nogent-le-Rotrou via a greenway running beside the Huisne River. Further on, you ride along a little country road. After 8km, at Condé-sur-Huisne, you then join a greenway laid out along a former railway line. This stage allows you to cross a portion of the Perche without having to tackle any slopes… well, almost none!
There's the possibility of getting off this greenway to enjoy a stop at the villages of Dorceau or Rémalard-en-Perche. Signposted links guide you to them from the greenway.
Not to be missed:
- The Château des Comtes du Perche, a medieval castle looking across the hills of the Perche area, while inside, a museum recalls the adventures of the lords of the Perche through history.
- The hamlet of Villeray, a typical Percheron village, its low little houses climbing a narrow slope, while its former mill with waterwheel has been transformed into a hotel with restaurant. Why not offer yourself a relaxing break at the Château de Villeray with its Spa Pom?
